Timeline View in Microsoft Project 2010 shows fiscal year end values on the "Timescale" but the start and end dates are "Calendar Year" display- project options are set so that the Fiscal Year starts in March. This is rather devaluing the benefit of the timeline as it is showing contradictory information due to the discrepancy of Calendar dates displayed for tasks shown on the Timeline and Fiscal Year dates shown on the timescale.
Whilst there is the option on the "Timescale" in the Gantt Chart view to use or not use Fiscal Year no such option appears on the timeline element.
Has anyone else encountered this and do they know how to resolve it as an issue?

Have you tried File > Option > Schedule Fiscal Year starts in March then check the 'Use starting year for FY numbering'?
