Please Help.........

I'm using the WinXp OS but I'm not very tech-savvy.  I can't seem to get KB2633880 and KB2656252 .Net Framework updates to install, no matter how many time I try.  Can someone please send me a step-by-step instruction sheet to solve this problem?  I've already tried the MSN Fix It option.  I know how to get into my C drive and can follow explicit instructions for making registry changes and I know how to enter search codes in the "Run" function, so If the directions are clear enough I should be able to follow them.  Microsoft wants to charge me $60 am hoping that someone here knows what to do.  Please contact me at [e-mail] if you have the solution.

When I go into Add/Remove Programs I see that I have many updates downloaded for .Net Framework 1.1, 2, 3 and 3.5 including some Service Packs.

Up until recently I've never had any problems like this.

I am quite sure, that it is possible to get community support on your issue, too. But please be aware that this forum does not cover .Net installation issues. The forum at http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/ar/netfxsetup/threads covers .Net Setup problems. (Also be aware, that normaly nobody will help you through email. People help inside the forums so others who have the same problem can find the solution, too!)

One way is always to try to repair a .Net framework installation or to uninstall and then reinstall it. It is quite easy and straight forward for .Net 4 but older .Net Frameworks cannot be uninstalled easily. But there are some cleanup tools available so I am quite sure that you can find a lot of ideas if you search for "repair .net framework x" - Important is to specify, which .Net Framework you want to repair.

I just checked the first KB and it targets .Net Framework 2 - so I just looked up how you could repair or reinstall .Net Framework 2 for you:

I think I would try all three things first - starting from the top (so 1st reinstall as Microsoft thinks that it should work, then an uninstall and reinstall as Microsoft tells us how it should work and last I would try 3rd party tools.)
