Thank you for the suggestion.  The OCR functionality for Computer Vision currently does attempt to detect the orientation and correct it.  I have added this idea to our feedback forum.  I do like the idea of having information cleaned up also.  Please take the time to click on the link to add your vote.  Increasing votes help our product managers determine what users and developers want and will implement with their application.  Please have any fellow developers interested in this function to add their votes as well.
