I have a need to synchronize (specifically echo) a folder between a PC on my internal network and a file server in my DMZ.  Can anyone tell me what firewall port I would need to open up to allow this to work?  Thanks!

SyncToy itself does not copy files through special port. Just before you doing the sync, make sure you could manually copy files between your PC the files server in you DMZ.
