BCDEdit / displayorder  {current} / addlast

BCDEdit / timeout 5

I have a lab server with hardward that does not support Hyper V.  It is running Win 2008 R2 x64, so I can't install Virtual Server 2005.  So it seems my only option for virtual machines is to use the native Win 2008 support to boot to a VHD.  One catch is that I can't always be physically at the server to select a VHD boot-up option.  Is it possible to change the default boot option remotely?  So if the machine is defaulting to "VHD_1" for example, but I needed to switch to "VDH_2" or the physical server's OS, could I do that remotely?

Wow, 2009?  no answer?  Well, I hope you found out that you can use BCDEdit /displayorder {current} /addlast to put the native OS as the second entry for the boot selection.  Hope this helps someone!

Additional Info:  You will also want to run BCDEdit /default {IdentifierForVHDBoot} so that this is highlighted automagically on boot and then BCDEdit /timeout 5 or something like that so that you aren't waiting for 30 seconds everytime you reboot.
