You can start in parallel, but then you would waste to much time on getting back to basics. I would say, fist learn all C# from the beginning to the end, but always in connection to .NET and general programming, at least in first approximation. Don't worry if you forget something later, more important that you understand it. Before you are pretty comfortable with that, don't try to waste your time on something more advanced, including UI or ASP.NET.
