Hello All:

Expression Web 4 stopped working. I have been using it for almost two years without any problem.

When I try to launch it, it says "Microsoft Expression 4 has stopped working:  A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Window will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I cannot get passed this.

I recently installed Eset Anti-virus. I thought it may have something to do with it. I disabled it, but it did not help.

I tried to run it as administrator, no luck.

I am on Windows 7 Home Edition Service Pack 1. Running on a 64-bit Sony Vaio. 

Any recommendations?

A few of suggestions, not sure if they will work or not.

(1) Have you updated your .Net version (at least to .Net 4.0 for EW4)? 

(2) Reboot system completely and then try EW again?

(3) Do a repair install of EW (from Windows Control panel)

(4) Last resort, uninstall, then reinstall .Net 4.0 first then EW.

(5) Make sure Windows is up to date with Windows Updates etc.

Does it do this every time you try to start EW?

Are you using a paid (licenced) version of EW4 or the now free edition (the free version of EW4 is a minor update to the released retail version) maybe try installing that?
