Delete the email account won't delete the .ost file. You may take below step:

1. show hidden files in the file explorer
2. find the the .ost file
3. use the .ost to .pst convert tool to convert the .ost file to a .pst file
4. open the .pst file in the Outlook 
5. find the important messages
