In Internet Explorer 9 I have a very simple page in which there is a disabled input text field. When I highlight some part of the text present in the input field and then release the mouse outside of the text box then it's as if I never released the mouse button. The text selection still follow the mouse cursor as I move it around. The only way to release the highlight is to click again inside the disabled text box.

This problem is only present in IE9 but it disappear if you put the browser in Compatibility mode.

Events are not called either (like blur).
