Hi,
I have 2 CAS and 2 DAG servers on Exchange 2010 SP2 all are running on vmware.
I took a snapshot of 1 CAS server and installed Exchange SP3 on it. The install went fine.
Then I took a snapshot of one DAG server and started to install. It was late at night and it failed. So I canceled the install.
Then I reverted my CAS server back to the snapshot because it has Exchange SP2 on it.
Everything, email ect is working fine now, but I did notice in the EMC that my reverted CAS server says it is SP3 and my 3 other Exchange Servers say SP2! When I look in installed programs on my CAS server I notice it still has the Exchange SP2 rollups installed.
Therefore I believe the EMC is reporting wrong.
I have tried to install all this in my Veeam Lab and kept getting hub transport errors on the CAS sever (snapshot one)

Any suggestions on how to resolve my issue and upgrade to Exchange SP3?

I have to explain you first about Exchange and Active directory.
All setting about exchange including all patch and all of installation for your exchange will keep in "ActiveDirectory Configuration Partition" (you can open it by using ADSIEDIT). you didnt revert all DC right?

This issue look like "object in AD learned that your CAS is already sp3" and then you reverted your vm back to previous version. (This is not good thing. Many customer did this way and 50% broke exchange organization. Cause of object was change in AD and they reverted back to previous so it's mismatch object version somekind).
Did you have another CAS in your environment?
I never and ever prefer "revert Exchange snapshot" to customer. Because Exchange is very very sensitive with AD (like I said actually exchange didn't contain any setting. All setting about exchange kept on AD")

This case your can recover your CAS by using "dister recovery". But you willget CAS with sp3
