I know I'm a bit late to the party for this, but I've only just transitioned from WME series 9 to MS Expression 4SP2.  In WME the file editor tool allowed for the addition of file markers to a wmv file and then just resaved (transcoded) the original file without re-encoding.  Is there some way to achive this in Expression?  I don't want to have to re-encode a 2-hr video and run the risk of messing up my original encode settings and I certainly don't have the time to re-encode.

This might work for you:

1. After importing your WMV file, select Video=Source and Audio=Source.
