Hi,
actually e-mail message is sent i.e., no any error message is given, but receptionist does not receive the e-mail. I am using a local SMTP server properly configured. The SMTP server console gives a confermation message too that e-mail message has been sent, but receptionist does not receive the message.
 One thing i would like to inform you that i am using Norton Internet Security , which gives an Email Error message : "421-4.7.0 [117.99.163.162] Our System has detected an unusual amount of Email Details.." ...so is this internet security software restricting my mail from being sent?   But i am not sure

It looks error is not related to any programming problem. I think Internet Security is stopping email from sending further. You need to check your Norton Internet Security settings for sending/recieving email.
