After combining tabs from two Excel workbooks, the Styles are now corrupt. I need to reset them to the default Styles. This on the surface looks like the normal to Date Format problem, but the Styles are the problem.

The worksheet is probably using General formating which is creating the problems and not the styles.  You can simply select the entire worksheet and then go into the formating ribbon and change the entire worksheet to wnhich ever format you prefer.  I'm not sure that will give you the rresults you are l;ooking for.  Once excel reformats the data you may not be able to get the data back into the formating you are looking for.  You may have to go back to an older version of the workbook and repeat the combining process.  You want to make sure you copy the formating along with the data values.
