I am building windows store app using c# and it's working fine with x64 and ARM but when i test it on x86, it throws this error "Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component." with the cryptic number -2147467259 on the run time when calling specific web service method. it throws this exception when calling one of the async web service methods.

That's a generic error.  No way to tell anything without a callstack and much more data.  You probably should open a support case.
