So, for months, while Developing this application I have been working on, I have been able to successfully download files (usually serveral mbs each) through my application and save them directly to the SD card.

Now, as of this past monday, when I use the exact same process/code to download these files, the files appear to download as they have been but once the download is complete the full file is not downloaded and in the root of the SD card there is an EncFiltLog.menc file on the card.  I have encryption for files on SD cards turned OFF.

I tested with a brand new 2 gb microSD card this morning.  Downloaded one file, and the above behavior is shown.  I can now no longer read/write or format the microSD card.
