Line breaks (returns, newlines, \n, ...) that are present in my app Description are NOT displayed in the Windows Phone Store app.

This only affects the Windows Phone Store app. When viewing the app description in the browser everything is fine. Curiously the Release Notes section is working fine on the phone, even though it used the same line break characters.

Is this a known issue?

Verified on phones: Lumia 920, Lumia 830 both running WP 8.1

I found another thread describing the same problem with missing line breaks. Seems like somebody from Microsoft needs to do some manual work on the app:
