So side loading on Windows 8 embedded was essentially a no go. Well unless you were planning on shipping a domain controller, certificate server, and an IT staff with your embedded device.  Has this improved with 8.1? Is there anyway to side load an app on a standalone device that may not have a network connection?  I'm imaging that we will ship new discs/images as the software gets updated fairly slowly.  Please tell me there is a better solution for 8.1.
