I have looked through the old threads and deleted the folders.  This allowed me to insert one image and then quit working again.  I have removed images uploaded them directly to the site folder, dragged them from the list, etc. etc.  When I  insert an image I get a red x box.  I am using Windows 7.  This just started happening recently.
