I have a CAD file that i've imported and adjusted the visibility on several layers to reduce the complexity of the file before i have Visio "convert" the file. Once it's converted, most of the layers (walls, stairs, toilets, etc) all seem fine. But for some reason, all of the furniture seems to exist on a separate layer on its own. It's worth noting that on the CAD file, the furniture is part of several different layers. My color assignments are lost in the conversion process, so i then have to rest those colors.

I am using Visio to insert text boxes to assign room numbers to each workstation/office/room. But if i save the file and then close Visio, when i open it again, the furniture has disappeared. The layers in Visio (not the CAD layers) say the layer is visible and toggling the visibility of that layer doesn't change anything. This is a big problem because of the 400 or so rooms, about 325 of them are cubicle rooms. So without the furniture layer, it's pointless to have the room numbers.

I've been battling this for a couple of months off and on and it's very frustrating. I thought if i just hunkered down and inserted all my numbers at once, i'd just push through to get it printed to a PDF and be done. But now it's doing it in the middle of working on the numbering! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
