Reading the Exchange docs I was left with the impression that the -Archive parameter that goes with the Get-Mailbox cmdlet is supposed to return details/statistics about the archive mailbox associated with the account in question.

I have a 2010 exchange server and I enabled the archive mailbox for my account, I added a folder and moved a bunch of emails in there and then went ahead and executed "Get-Mailbox zspas -Archive | Format-List" but it seems that the -Archive parameter makes no difference whatsoever. The results from using -Archive and omitting it are always identical. All the information that I was able to retrieve from both these commands was:

ArchiveGuid                            : 6f12vz93-6636-428a-aa4f-f9016afte500
ArchiveName                            : {My Archive}
ArchiveQuota                           : unlimited
ArchiveWarningQuota                    : unlimited

So in that regard I was wondering:

1. Is the -Archive parameter not functional as of yet?

2. Would ServicePack 1 fix that issue or would it be implemented in any future releases/fixes?

3. Are there any ways to access the archive mailboxes using the EWS? So in other words, in the same way that we can do ExchangeService.GetFolders() can we also access all the folders/items/emails in an Archive mailbox?

You can connect to Archive Mailbox with the ArchiveGUID.
