I'm developing a Silverlight application with RIA Services which is deployed on the Cloud.

Everything went fine until we started using WIF authentication to log into the application and it required a certificate.

Basically, our website is at https://xxxxxxxxx.cloudapp.net and when we try to log in, it will go to a STS service also deployed on the cloud (https://xxx-sts.cloudapp.net) to do the authentication and then return a federated user in case of positive authentication.

I've installed all the certificates I need and it all works fine when I run it through Chrome or Firefox browsers, but it doesn't work on IE9!

The same thing happens if I try to debug my application from Visual Studio 2010. If I start the Azure Compute and Storage Emulator on, let's say http://127.0.0.1:81 and run the app on Chrome browser, it allows me to run the app and debug it, by attaching the process. But if I try to run it on IE9 it doesn't work.

I've spent all day looking for articles on the internet that might help me but although I've tried dozens of scenarios that I found on several posts, none have worked for me.

Even more funny is, I have Fiddler installed and if I run my app with Fiddler active, IE9 works fine, because Fiddler works as a "Man-in-the-middle" if I set "Decrypt HTTPS traffic" to active. If I turn it off, IE9 stops allowing me to reach the website.

Also, I'm running this on a Virtual Machine with Windows 7 and Integrated Features on and the host machine also has Windows 7. Not sure if this has any impact but you never know.

Any ideas of what might be wrong here?
