I am having problems with the custom sort option when using IEAK to create an IE8 build for Windows Vista X86.  I need web slices in the Favorites Bar to be displayed in a particular order and have used the 'Move up' and 'Move down' buttons in the IEAK 'Favorites' dialog to specify the order, however, on installing the IE8 build and running IE8, the favorites are always displayed in alphabetical order.

Can anyone help me?

See this reg key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder

I would suggest that you configure one machine the way you require it then export the above registy values to a .reg file and append that to your install.

Note the 'Links' folder still exists, it has just been renamed inside of IE, but as far as the FS is concerned The Favorites Bar is the same thing as the Links Folder.
