We are upgrading computers, coming from XP and using FrontPage 2003 as HTML editor.
Now we have Windows 7 computers and I'm trying to use Expression Web 4 as our default HTML editor.

Senerio: We have a ERP program, that makes HTM pages (just a plain HTM page with a part number and the desription of the part. We link documents (prints, certs...etc) to these pages. when we bring up one of these webpages and click on the edit button it would launch FrontPage (our editor at the time) and we would edit these pages and link the documents to the page.

I have installed Expression web and look like it would work well for us.
It is the default editor ( IE > Tools >internet options > programs > HTML Editor)

I can right click on edit HTML files in expression web.

I have downloaded 3rd party software to check (or edit) for default HTML editor.
All keys have expression web as the editor (edit key)

I have manually check through the registry in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER   (default - expression web)
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT  (.htm, html)
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT (application)

They all have either expression web as the editor option or have expression web listed in applications.
Not seeing anything out of order (unless I’m missing something)
Still can’t get the edit button to bring up expression web in our ERP software.
