We have a couple of VC++ projects that we've been building with VS2005 against the Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone SDK.    We're in the process of moving to VS2008.    The first thing I noticed is that there is a new SDK installed with VS2008.   The new SDK is called "Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK R2 for Smartphone".

 

I tried searching for info on this SDK and haven't found anything.   Is this available as a separate download, or is it only available bundled within VS2008?

 

What is the difference between these two SDKs?    We're getting some compile time errors using the R2 SDK and I'd like to understand exactly what the changes are between the two releases.    Can anyone point me to more info on this release?

Hi Steve,

There is no difference between these two SDK's. Same Windows mobile SDK was re-rolled and shipped along with VS2008.

 

Can you send us the compile time errors you are getting?
