When using a custom GPU task from a command line over VNC, I get an uncatchable error when the job begins encoding.  The server this is running on has GPU Encoding enabled on a GeFORCE GTX 570 processor.  The error occurs independent of media type (mp4, wmv tested), and I am using an H.264 profile.

I am attempting to create IIS Smooth Streams.  What is really odd is that the streams files for each resolution actually get created, but it appears that when the encoder attempts to write to these files, it errors out.  Any suggestions as to what could be causing this uncatchable error?

As explained in the GPU encoding white papers, GPU encoding is not supported on remote desktop / VNC / or any VM machines. The only exception to that rule is with Tesla-based Cuda cards with a special mode of the driver.
