I hope this will be a simple question and I apologize in advance for being such a noob on IoT core. I am trying to debug some code in C++ on my Raspberry Pi 3. In Visual Studio 2017 Enterprise (Version 15.2 26430.15) when I open the properties for the project in an attempt to configure the remote debugging, the only option listed is "Remote Windows Debugger."

All of the documentation that I've read suggests that I should see a remote machine option listed here. How do I achieve that? Is there a tool that I need to use/install that maybe I'm missing?

I am using the "Blank IoT Core Console Application" template for my project.

Any help here would be appreciated.

Did you install the Windows IoT project templates,  the templates can be found by searching for "Windows IoT Core Project Templates" in the Visual Studio Gallery.
