Planning to setup a second CS200X installation on separate WebServer but using same SQL Cluster(Hotel).
We can manage to rename MSCS_Admin but not MSCS_CatalogScratch.

What I understand is MSCS_CatalogScratch used for temporary storage when executing Catalog tasks and reused between sites within same CS Installation.

  - is it possible to reuse MSCS_CatalogScratch DB between several CS Installations?

  - why is it possible to rename MSCS_Admin but not MSCS_CatalogScratch to separate installations? (seem to me only because of hardcoded procs)

If not possible to reuse MSCS_CatalogScratch , what is the recommended MS solution?

For us this became a problem since hosting CS applications with customer unique CS licenses but we cant reuse SQL Cluster.

I would definitely recommend different SQL Named Instance on different ports (just to avoid any confusion to Commerce Server)
