The Select element by click button in my IE8 Developer tools (Windows 7 64bit) appears to have stopped working.

When I click on it I can hover over the regions of a page and the blue borders show, but when I click it does nothing.

I have tried reseting all of the IE settings and deleting all cache, history, etc.


Any ideas on how to fix it?

Hi,

Make sure you have the bottom left pane of the Developer Tool visible. (the "HTML" tab).

You should see that the selected element is outlined and that the DOM tree in the HTML pane has been expanded and the selected element highlighted.

Or is that included in "Nothing Happens"?
