I realize this is an 'old' issue but my company just upgraded from Visio 2007 to Visio 2013.

I update engineering drawings (functional architecture) all day long.  The lack of 'glue to geometry' feature is really slowing me down. Instead of just sliding a glue connection along a shape I have to add a connection point or try and move it. What a hassle.

If they aren't working on fixing this issue I may have to recommend moving our drawings to a different tool.

Generally, the Glue is turned on by default in Visio 2013. And I can see the Glue for the Geometry shape when I select Connector for the Mouse. Please check the following settings in your side:

On the View tab, make sure "AutoConnect " and Connection Points are enabled. Click the dialog launcher on the Visual Aids group. Make sure Glue is checked to enable it.
