By default the wizard only brings up two providers the SQLClient and the SQLCE providers. Is this the default or some quirk of my installation. How do I get the others to show up?

You can attach to other databases but you have to install the data providers for those other database types. I believe this is the one for MySQL and this is the one for Oracle.
