Hi,

We've developed a Xamarin.Forms app for Android, for internal use.
Since we've used the Xamarin.Forms approach our app is instantly usable on Windows as well.
Sadly the registration process to use Push Notifications and publish your app to the store is WAY WAY too long.
I've already completed 5 out of 6 steps, but I don't understand what I should upload at Store Listings.

I'm able to download the list of translations.
But since I'm in a commercial environment, I'm not nearly half interested in filling all these 203 different translations.
How does this file need to look like at it's minimum?

Also, I can see that you need to specify some images (is this necessary?).
But how do I find the URLS to these images in my Dashboard?

You should really, really take a look at how Google deals with Push Notifications for Android.
It's like super-easy. You just create a project, you get (and can renew) a OAuth 2.0 token.
Then you just can send a webrequest to Google, using your project credentials and this OAuth token and all users of your app can receive the push notifications.

I think UWP is an awesome approach, but my company is no longer interested in it because of all the hassle that comes with publishing your app and using push notifications to notify users.

When you try to upload your app to the store, you will be asked to Create Store Listings. These are text and images that customers will see when viewing your app's listing in the Microsoft Store. But you do not need import and export Store listings and modify them directly. It is optional unless you'd prefer to enter your listing info offline in a .csv file, rather than providing info and uploading files directly in the dashboard.

To create a Store listing, the first thing is to select a language. You could click Add/remove languages from the submission overview page to add a language. If you‘ve already uploaded packages, you’ll see their languages listed in the Languages supported by your packages section.

Then you could select the language name to the detail page of the Store listing. Fill in the information in the Store listing. You could see all the necessary part with the " * " tag. That’s the minimum you need to upload.

The Screenshots and Strore logos are necessary as it will be shown in the Store. You need to provider these image about your app and upload it to the Store listing.

I fully understand your thoughts. But UWP applications are different to android applications. They have different mechanisms which make them have different behaviors in push notification. I suggest that you could report this to us via other channels.  We will be very glad to hear your feedback in the FeedBack Hub. You could find it in the Start Menu.
