I am working on a project that involves different voice/sounds recognition.

This software should be able to recognize different sounds and translate that sound into a meaning/text.

Can any one give me any suggestions of getting this done.

I am looking for any possible API/Tools/Engine which can help a computer to learn new sounds and recognize/translate those sounds into a meaning/text/word.

What I understand about the Microsoft Speech recognition engine & few other available solutions works only for human spoken languages.

Can someone help me please?
