Hi All.

I were told that a version of sql server is included in TFS. So I downloaded TFS via our MSDN account and installed it. Now when we have started the test of TFS we get a SQL error saying that this version of the server is limited to 4GB.

Do I really need to buy the SQL license separately?

I think you are using Basic Configuration of TFS2010 which installs SQL 2008 Express  Edition, you can try to upgrade SQL 2008 Express to SQL 2008 R2 express  edition which is the latest version of SQL Server. It supports database size upto 10 GB in express edition.
