I reinstalled my laptop to factory settings and downloaded all updates.  downloaded VS2010 express and loaded it.  Downloaded sp1 loaded it.  downloaded lightswitch and loaded it.  Then I copied my .sdf database.  Went to .sdf database properties to ensure it was ok to use.  My .sdf file data shoes in server explorer.  When I try to view my screen it says unable to load data check connection and red x's.  Changed my internet settings like the discussions say.  Made up new .sdf database with PatientID LastName and FirstName by VB2010.  Loaded 3 records.  Records  shows in the solution explorer in both VB2010 and Lightswitch.  Red X and connection problem continued.

LightSwitch doesn't use any .sdf file. Did you mean mdf? Or is this an attached data source?

To be able to open a LS project on a new machine, you need the whole project, not just the database file anyway. Even then I've had problems, even with a different account on the same machine.
