Has anyone on here deployed a public Commerce Site to a Virtual Server environment?

I have looked for any articles out there and can not find anything to be able to find any benchmark data.

John,
Recently I have been to MVP Open days and Microsoft has provided a case study where all their machine critical applications hosted in virutal environment with high concurrent users. I feel the industry is going towards virutalization and I don't see much issues with this. Before we have issues when we host SQL server on the virutal environment but with the current infrastructure we can easily host them in VM environment. 

I am also little bit tensed to know that you will be hosting other application with your ecommerce application. There is a high risk that your application may face problems or interuptions with other applications.
