I have a website. I want to provide a "change browser" link for my visitors so that when they are using Firefox or any other browser other than IE8...they can 'click' on a link that will take them to IE8....in other words, they will then be able to view my site using IE8 browser (without having them re-start a new browser).

I think you mean a "Get IE8 Now" button, similar to the "Get Firefox" buttons that you see on some web sites.
