I've just uploaded a page, and when I view it in IE8, the Compatibility View button appears in the address bar.

I'm trying to start the page from scratch - I don't even have anything between the body tags, and yet IE doesn't like my page. Could someone tell me what is wrong with my page?

Hi Shane,

The Compatibility View button appears because your page does not include an X-UA-Compatible header.  For more information, please see Definining Document Compatibility.  You might also want to take a peek at the Compatibility View Recap post on the IE team blog.
