I've associated data from an Excel spreadsheet with a shape in Visio using the Data Graphic functionality.  One field that needs to be displayed is a text field.  Visio is truncating the text at 255 characters.  I'm not seeing any way of defining the field other than "text".  Is there any way around this limitation?

Well, I just tested with over 6,000 characters and had no problem displaying text in Visio 2007 and 2010 Data Graphics.
How did you enter the data into the shapes?
Did you use the Link Data to Shapes feature?
If so, what was the source?
