I have just recently upgraded from Visual Studio 2008 to Visual Studio 2010 Professional. And previously I was using an express version which does not display a crystal reports option when creating a  new application. So my main question is that what would be the difference if I had to use A normal windows forms application and a crystal reports application. And what might be the main differences between the two mentioned above.

And if possible please tell me which one might be more suitable in a payroll program.

you have to install Crystal Report Tools for VS 2010
