Hi,
I would like to run a script that update the registry setting for IE 6 options. In particular, I'd like to uncheck the HTTP 1.1 (on the Advance tab) option through the registry. I have located, what seem to be the entry in the registry for that option:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\AdvancedOptions\HTTP\GENABLE
and tried to test it by manually changing the value of the CheckedValue, UncheckedValue and even DefaultValue. But that seems to have no effect to the browser options. My quesitons are: Is what I am trying to do is possible? And if it is, how do I go about doing that?

You're changing the wrong thing.  Those keys define what the UI for the Advanced panel looks like.  If you change the DefaultValue key in HKLM new users that are created after you change it will get that new default value.
