It seems as though on a semi-regular basis the team foundation server build notification path in the registry gets the 'quotes' removed from around the path.  This causes the 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft' folder to open on the desktop upon login [don't ask me why it chooses to break at the second space].  This is on Windows XP Service Pack 2.  I've gone into the registry a couple times already and 'fixed' the problem, but it continues to recur.

I've been able to reproduce the issue by stopping the build notification tool, choosing the 'stop permanently' and then opening it again, which results in the incorrect [not quoted] path being placed into the registry.

It appears that this bug is not yet fixed in the Oct 2008 release, is there any plans to fix this issue or release the code so we can fix it ourselves?
