I've created an answer file for my sysprep and modified the built int local admin with the settings i want to maintain, but after running sysprep the settings are not duplicated to the default user, i can see that during the initial login after sysprep the resolution and theme change to windows basic and 1024x768 even after i had set them to Aero and 1280x960. i checked the log file inside the panther folder and i could not find an entry for the copyprofile, which leads me to believe that something might be wrong with my answer file.

I figured it out, in order for the changes to be copied over to the default profile during the sysprep process, you have to go into audit mode, make your changes and then sysprep into OOBE.
