we are using team to split jobs. each team has its own area. however, seems members of the other teams can access my team?

why? it is because all members of the same team belongs to 'contributor' group? can I set my team is visible to only my team members by default? thanks.

Thank you for posting here.

Did you mean that other team members could access the work items in your team's area. If so, I suggest that could create a group, and add all the other team members to this group. After that add this group to the security of the area, then set Deny for the permission "View Work Items in this node" of this group:
