I made used Excel to to create a pivot table based on an UNION query stored in Access 2007. However, when creating the pivot table. The UNION query is no where to be seen. So, I create a view to query from the UNION table. It works. However, the data doesn't seems to be right. So, I did a check by copying and paste the data in the UNION query to excel and create the pivot table, it show a different number of records. Total records extracted out should be approx 3000 and the records that is shown on the pivot is only 16.

Pls advise if this is a restriction/ a bug in Microsoft Excel 2007 or is there way to counter this issue?

Click on the Data tab--->From Other Sources--->From MS Query
