Hi,

I am trying to modify some code in an excel sheet, which is written in VB 6. Now the problem is, I usually connect to a particular database by remote logging into a gateway and from there to the database server with toad. I want to do this job in my vb code to access the database.

Please help me with this and kindly note that I am not a full time VB programmer.

VB cannot do that. Your code needs access to the db so where it is running you will have to first open the gateway so that the code can access what it needs.
