I'm building a SharePoint hosted add-in via Visual Studio 2015 community on a developer site collection. When I add some JavaScript and/or HTML, CSS to my add-ins default.aspx page, then save it, then go back to my browser window where the add-in installed, and refresh, none of my changes are present. Not even stopping the debug process and starting it again will make the changes take affect. I have to retract the project, then restart the debug process. The retraction then installation usually takes literally about five minutes, sometimes ten minutes. This is an eternity in software testing and debugging.

I believe You need not deploy the add-in every time you make the change in your remote web.

Every time you make change or add new scripts/ CSS to your add-in you have to rebuild the solution and install the solution.
