Hi,

I'm working on a bho for IE 7&8 and I'm almost finished, besides a annoying detail. When a user starts the BHO the first time, a file is generated where an unique id for the user is written. This works fine under XP and in Vista, when IE runs in administrative mode. However, when IE isn't running in adminstrator mode the BHO is not allowed to write any file. Its a bit strange, the method that tries to create the file does not return any errors but the file isn't created either.

Is this a security issue and if yes, how can I elevate the BHO to a higer level.
