In the Solution Explorer's Asset folder you see only couple (9 images) from the exhaustive list in Packet Manager:
There is also a way to create icon's in VS and they seem to have a different description :
Icon that you can create:
128X128-1,4,8 and 24 bit

No, there is a tool in Visual Studio 2017 that will generate all the image automatically. You will need to provide only one image for all the icons.
Please open the manifest file, select the Visual Assets tag as the following image.
The red part means that you need to provider the target image. The blue part means that you could choose the target assets when generating images.
Then click Generate Button and you will see all the icons are generated by VS.
