I am working with an excel sheet that contains a lot of ranges. From this I create a few charts, that I would like to compare to each other.

I am looking for some documentation about functions to retrieve data from the charts.

For example, I have a range with temperature and time. So I can create a chart if I have a few rows and columns. Let's say after 5 minutes, the temperature is 10C. After 10 minutes the temperature is 20C. If I create a line chart, it shows me the progress of heating. But how can I have excel to tell me what the temperature is after 7.5 minutes? Obviously I can calculate this from the data alone, but I would like to retrieve this from the chart. Can anyone provide me a link to some documentation about this example? I hope to find more information for the other questions I have.

At best, you would get the source of the data from the chart - like a range address - so skip that step and calculate directly from the data alone  -  simpler and more direct.
