Hi,

I'm using RBS to network boot a XPe image of ~300Mb. The issue is that it is taking ~3 mins to load the image and I was hoping for alot quicker than this. Can anyone tell me if this is normal and if not suggest some ways in which I can improve things?

Hello,

In my experience, 3 minutes is a typical response time in a 100 Mbps network. Perhaps you could migrate to a Gb Ethernet network to improve booting time.

The only factors I can think of in this scenario is network infrastructure, good cabling, good switches and that's it. Test each machine separately, without others interfering, to try to isolate posible faulty NICs.
